EBOLA WITH IN

Formally known as ebola hemorrhagic fever but now referred to as ebola virus disease.
There are only five or six types of ebola virus, four of them found to have caused the disease in humans
It is a rare and deadly disease in people and non human primates.( According to CDC). Other animals include monkeys, gorillas and chimpanzees.
The six types include;
*Species Zaire ebolavirus
*Species Sudan ebolavirus
*Species Tai Forest ebolavirus (Cote D'Ivoire ebolavirus)
*Species Bundibugyo ebolavirus
*Species Reston ebolavirus
*Species bombali ebolavirus
Of these only four (Zaire, Sudan, Tai Forest and Bundibugyo viruses)cause the disease in people.
   Ebola virus was first discovered in 1976 near Ebola River in Democratic Republic of Congo.

Transmission!

According to CDC scientists think people are initially infected with ebolavirus through contact with infected animal such as fruit bats.
After then,the virus spreads from person to person potentially affecting a large number per outbreak.
The virus spreads through direct contact;
-blood or body of fluids (urine,saliva,sweat,feaces, vomit,breast milk,semen, amniotic fluid)
-objects eg clothes,beddings, needles, medical equipment
-infected fruit bats or non human primates eg apes and monkeys.
When people become infected with ebolavirus,they do not start developing signs or symptoms right away. This period is known as incubation period.
A person can only spread ebola to other people after the onset of signs and symptoms.Signs And Symptoms.

These appear two to twenty one (2_21)days after contact with the virus.
Fever
Aches and pains
Weakness and fatigue
Sore throat
Skin rash and hiccups
Loss of appetite
Gastrointestinal symptoms
Unexplained bleeding
Red eyes
 The cause of death is due to low blood pressure from fluid loss,this occurs between 6_16 days from first symptoms.
